He decided to murder her to prevent further abuse by him or other family members he has a doubt about others too.

In the hours following the death of her 4-year-old sister in his Mokena sleeping space, Randulich is said to have sat in an interview with the police room. He explained why he did it while staring at his blood-stained pants.

At the time, Randolph, a high school senior at Lincoln-Way East High School, admitted on the video that he intended to kill his sister to shield her from a cousin he thought had abused the girl inappropriately.

Randulich claimed that he decided that day because his mother “wouldn’t let me use any of my money” to buy the firearm he planned to use to kill the relative.
